The 18th century Balas-Mansion and the corresponding 5,5 hectares estate is for sale in Becske, Nograd county, in the center of the Cserhát Mountains, in the valley of the Galga-river. The estate also has an outskirt of 1,5 hectares, also suitable for stables. The estate currently has six residential buildings, a garage for 4 cars, and an internal parking lot for 10 cars.
The mansion is 400 square meters, its outbuilding is 100 square meters, its basement is 40 square meters. There are already prepared and approved plans for the renovation of the mansion as a guest house in which bets and balls for hundreds of people could be held. The enhancing of the structure of the building has already started.
Two houses of 80 square meters each are build next to the mansion for the purpose of receiving guests. The estate includes four additional, fully renovated, equipped and furnished (old-german style) cottages. The 6 residential buildings could inhabit 12 families. There are plans for the landscaping and utilization of the 5,5 hectares estate for equestrian tourism or for social-charitable purposes. The Galga-spring runs at the edge of the whole estate, the original wine-cellars are preserved under the fully renovated outbuilding. All the buildings are equipped with all public utilities since 2010 except for the wood heating.
According to the original plans, equestrian tourism would be the utilization of the estate, linked to the traditions of the area, but it is also perfect for other functions, e.g. there are several hunting areas in the surroundings. The mansion is under renovation and structural reinforcement, original antique furnishing has been purchased. The municipality of Becske supports the development of rural tourism.
The mansion is accessible by car on the M3 highway (exit 39 towars Aszod) and on the M2 highway (from Vac towards Acsa, and from Acsa towards Balassagyarmat). The mansion is about 25 minutes from Aszod and 10 minutes from Balassagyarmat. The Liszt Ferenc International Airport can be reached in 90 minutes.
