La leggenda narra che Lucrezia Borgia ha dormito nel Palazzo. Era la figlia di Rodrigo Borgia che divenne Papa Alessandro VI. Era raffigurato come un killer di mariti e amanti, ma la storia suggerisce che il fratello, Ceasare, uno dei suoi amanti e, eventualmente, il padre del primo dei suoi otto figli, è stato il vero assassino.. Il palazzo è stato di proprietà di Anna Mahler, la scultrice e la figlia del compositore Gustav Mahler.
