This is a gigantic, elegant stone Saxon house, situated directly on the village square in the village of Archita. We operated this house as a bed-and-breakfast / Pension for the past 6 years, you can continue to do so or use it as a unique country residence.
The house can accommodate up to 14 people and is completely furnished, including all furniture, kitchen equipment, bedding, and art objects and antiques (and several mountain bikes as well). Many of the pieces, like the beds, dining room chairs and beds, were hand made by local craftsmen
The house has lots of areas for a big group to comfortably chill out: two living rooms, an upstairs terasa, two backyard hangout zones (one inside partially restored barn #1), a large children's play area, and the gigantic barn #2.
Behind the barn is another ~1100 M2 garden + fruit trees.
Like the better-known Saxon villages of Viscri and Biertan, Archita was settled by Saxons in the 1400s and features a unique, double walled church, and is surrounded by pristine forests and rolling hills on all sides.
Archita is unique in that the barns here are stone (most Saxon villages have wooden barns), and our property includes a massive stone barn that could be renovated into more living space.
The title is clean and there are no issues with previous owners, a common problem that delays or voids many transactions in the Saxon villages of Transylvania.
Archita is a 40 minute drive to Sighisoara.
