The house is located on the island of Pico, considered one of the best vacation spots for its natural beauty. I´ve included an aerial view of the house when it was just about finished in 2003 and outlined the different outside areas. The house was finished in January 2004 and is 553 m2. The front yard, which is essentially in red, is about 85 m2. From the left front corner of the house to the road is almost 11m. From the right front corner to the road is about 7,50m. The backyard, in yellow, is about 130 m2. Most of the tree area on the upper left corner is part of the backyard. The section outlined in green is the vegetable garden. The tree that is visible has long disappeared. If you have a green thumb you´ll have nearly 95 m2 to plant what you wish. Outlined in blue is the patio and it is about 185 m2. Behind the smaller house (which is also included in the property), in the patio area, there are five fruit trees: tangerine, orange, mandarin and lemon. These were planted a year ago. The other fruit tree is loquat. The house is a reversed “L” shape as seen from the aerial view. The measurements are, starting from the front and going clockwise: 16 m x 8m x 7m x 7m x 8,70m x 15m. The garage (1st floor) is 8,70m x 15m with a storage room and a half bathroom in the back. The half bathroom is not yet complete. There is another division 8m x 7m which, at the moment, is used for a workshop and small workout gym. The main floor (2nd floor) is divided into the entry hall, family/dining room, kitchen, laundry room, two bedrooms, main bathroom and master bedroom with private bathroom. The master bedroom has two large his and hers closets. The private bathroom has a bathtub/shower, toilet, bidet and double sinks with granite countertop. The bedrooms all have ample closets and Brazilian Jojoba hardwood floors. The remaining floors are covered with tile. The main bathroom has a corner bath tub, shower, toilet, bidet and double sinks with a granite countertop. The kitchen is 6m x 3,5m as is the family/dining room. The kitchen has granite countertops and a table with matching granite table top that sits 6 people. The 3rd floor has a master suite (5m x 5,5m) with a private balcony overlooking the ocean, a bathroom, bedroom (which at the moment is used as the office), and huge gathering hall with fireplace. The kitchen has a patio and the gathering hall has a balcony that also overlooks the ocean. As can be seen from the pictures, the ceiling is open with natural wood. The water is heated by solar power. The house has a central gas heating system.
