Be honest , the rent in Qingdao is not as expensive as other principal cities in China . near the seaside , you can find a good ( not luxury ) one bedroom apartment at the price 2200 rmb to 3500 rmb . generally , most of my clients rented a one bedroom apartment at the price 2200 rmb to 2700 rmb per month, and most of them rented a two bedroom apartment at the price 2600 rmb to 3500 rmb per month , those apartments are not luxury , and the communities is not so so new (built in about 2000 ---2008) . but ,those apartments are clean ,fully furnished and well decorated , so unless you have a high requirement and have a huge income , those apartments are perfect for you , and you could enjoy life in them in Qingdao .
For instance , there is an apartment near Qingdao University and the sea ,one bedroom ,70 sqm , fully furnished , all appliances and furniture , 13th floor (the top is 25th), 2500 rmb per month , but only for long-term (at least 6 months ), and if you rent it for a short time , the monthly rent will be rised up to about 2800---3000 rmb .
