A HOUSE WITH MANY BEAUTIFUL THINGS
LIZZANO There are so many things I like about this little house, the first thing that attracts me is that this is an old house.
An ancient house, full of history and full of those unique and concentrated details that give the daily or occasional living the flavor of the mountain, that of the past but with the comforts that we are all looking for today.
This earth-sky house is located inside "Borgo Piatto", a hamlet with a closed and hidden square right in the center of Lizzano in Belvedere, upstream from the provincial road and almost symmetrical to the equally pleasant beautiful Borgo Fondaccio.
Borgo Piatto has remained as it once was: fortunately it did not suffer the violence of the early 1900s when the (often medieval) historic centers of our villages were systematically "gutted" to allow the provincial road to pass...
The house is 20 meters from the small square of Borgo Piatto which is itself very central but so hidden as to give the village the tranquility and charm of a protected, reserved exclusivity...
Another thing I like about this little house is the internal layout: two rooms per floor on three floors plus the cellars.It's like this: tavern and laundry below, living room and kitchen above, two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor, two charming attic bedrooms above.All connected by a central stone staircase worked by hand.To divide the rooms there are wooden floors and arelle, doors and partitions of ancient limes...
Another thing I really like is the furniture: studied and full of antique pieces and accessories, refined and positioned with taste.
There is also an adorable and wonderful little terrace that shyly overlooks the small street and beyond it onto a cloister garden...it's great for reading books or painting...
All this authentic mood of ancient and old flavors is enhanced by a particular light that enters from the windows...believe me, it is difficult to explain: here the light is truly captivating, it seems designed for a house like this!
