Kasauli is a small and beautiful hill station situated in the Solan district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The destination is situated at a distance of 25 km from Solan and 80 km from Shimla with at an elevation of 1900 meters above the sea level. The destination is a picturesque hill station and the town is a cantonment town of the Indian Army. Kasauli was founded in 1842 by the British as a cantonment town. The destination is blessed by nature beauty and several species of flora and fauna and far from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are many church situated in Kasauli which are the great example of Classical Gothic style of Architecture. Christ Church and Baptist Church are one of the finest examples and the beautiful glass window makes it different and most visited. The rare species of birds are found in Kasauli like – Red –Billed, Blue Magpie, Striated prinias, Babblers, Jungle Owlet etc can be spotted here. Summer is the best season to watch their rare species of Birds.
