Festival of Sair is a centuries-old Indian festival that marks the end of summer and onset of harsh winter. It’s an annual harvest festival that is celebrated in many districts of Himachal Pradesh with great enthusiasm. The major highlight of the Sair Festival is the bullfight that is held in Arki in Solan and Mashobra in Shimla district. Locals buy new utensils and clothes and cook special dishes and in some hilly regions where the winters are harsh, natives start stocking up food grains.
