Portugal is known for its cheese. One of the most select is the Azeitão cheese, produced from sheep milk in local farms.
The historical sites in the Region include: Azeitão with Quinta da Bacalhoa (a 15th century Renaissance villa that gives its name to the Bacalhoa Wineries), the Palace of the Dukes of Aveiro and its hand painted tiles studios.
The beaches include: Tróia Holiday Resort, the longest sandy beach in Portugal (30km). Other nearby beaches are: the Arrábida beaches, including its cozy Portinho da Arrábida bay; Sesimbra bay, a fishing port with calm waters; Meco and Costa da Caparica.
