We are a hardware startup based in San Francisco. We are at the stage of turning an existing prototype into a product. We are seeking talented programmers for embedded software. All work is done in a software simulator, no actual hardware experience is required/desired. Advantages of this position include the opportunity to eventually lead a team if the company grows. To be hired, the successful candidate will email an answer to the following question, accompanied by a plain text resume: “Find a fixed point of the following Java function: static long f (long x) { return ( (x7) + (x^ (x+1) );} (x is considered a fixed point if f (x) ==x).”A one-on-one remote interview will follow, using Skype and VNC. This interview will consist mainly of a set of tests. The interview will be in English but we do understand Romanian. This is a full time position with a pay range of 600 to 800 USD per week. No previous work experience needed. We evaluate applicants solely based on programming skill.
