ALEGRANZA _ THE ISLAND OF JOY - The second-smallest island of the Canary Islands is Alegranza which is uninhabited and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Similar to Montana Clara, it features a large crater from a dormant volcano and a beach. Alegranza is part of the municipality of Teguise, Lanzarote.
La Alegranza Island, is part of Europe Europe and is situated in the Atlantic Ocean, just in front of Morocco. The island consists of 11.000.000 m2 of land and 230m2 old house.
The island is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park (Parque Natural del Archipiélago Chinijo). There are no inhabitants on the island.
Many species of lizard, including the Canary Gecko which is found nowhere else on earth, thrive on the smaller islands.
Endangered birds including the petrel, shearwater, Egyptian vulture and the peregrine falcon make their homes on the cliffs surrounding the smaller islands.
The island features a volcano with a crater of about 1.1 km in diameter and an altitude of 289 m.
The northern portion is mainly flat.
The lighthouse of Punta Delgada is located in the eastern part of Alegranza. The lighthouse was first built in 1865 and was designated a historic monument.
Although there are no build permissions as the Island is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park - The house can be restored or rebuilt and will make an opportunity to operate various Business ventures for example with Diving Schools, Conservation Tours, Walking and Trekking Tours and a host of other activities , for the right people this could prove a very lucrative business venture into leisure activity tourism
