Kedarnath is a holy town and the town is popular for “Kedarnath Shrine”, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kedarnath town is situated at an elevation of 3584 meters above the sea level in the Rudraprayag district in the Indian State of Uttarakhand. The holy destination is one of the Chardham and holds great faith of Devotees. Kedarnath is a popular hindu pilgrim destination situated at the bank of Mandakini River. Thousands of the devotees take part in the yatra of Kedarnath from all around the country and the other different parts of the world. The temple is lies in between snow capped peaks. Kedarnath is one of the 12th Jyotrilings and it is the highest all of them. According to the legend, Kedarnath shrine was found by the Adi Shankracharya in 8th century and it was built by Pandavas. It is believed that, during the time of Mahabharta when the pandavas killed all his own brothers so they felt guilt. Then they decided to wash his all sins.
