Farm with ancient castle located in the heart of Tuscany, in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. The farm stands on 200 hectares of land, of which approximately 32 are cultivated with vineyards, 30 he of specialized olive grove, 20 he of arable land, 10 he of pasture and unpolluted land and over 100 he of coppice forest in which hunting is practiced. Vineyards: The 32 hectares of vineyards have been planted between 1989 and 2011. Of these 32 are currently in production around 20 hectares for Chianti Classico, Docg, about 1 hectare in Vin Santo del Chianti Classico Doc, about 2 hectares IGT Toscana, for a total of about 23 he. More than 9 he of permits (ex-replanting rights) for Chianti Classico Docg remain in the portfolio.
Olive grove: The company consists of 30 he of specialized olive groves of Chianti Classico D.O.P. oil production, about 5,000 plants from which an extra virgin olive oil is obtained with authentic purity with very low acidity.
The company produces about 100/120,000 bottles of wine Chianti Classico and IGT Toscana and 4/5,000 kilos of Dop Chianti Classico oil annually. The company is known and appreciated in the Italian and international markets. Mainly exports to the United States of America and China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, but also to Canada, throughout Europe (Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Germany, England, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Switzerland, etc.) Australia.
The Castle and other buildings. The main body of the Company is the million year old Castle located at the top of a hill with various buildings that give the whole complex the present appearance of an impressive Castello-Borgo fortified and used as an extraordinary tourist attraction and hospitality.
The real estate complex consists of several master and non-residential units, offices, wine cellars, direct sales, tasting rooms, farmhouses, cellars, warehouses and large attics, for a total of over 4,000 sqm. The estate is embellished by a seventeenth-century private church of about 100 sqm and a small pool magically inserted inside the medieval walls. The Company includes also additional buildings: the House, called "Farmer", very panoramic consisting of approximately 250 sqm of surface; The business center, located at the base of the Castle Hill and immersed in the vineyards, is an ancient property of the 500/600 consisting of about 1,500 sqm, where today most of the company's operational means are sheltered; Farmhouse at the beginning of the avenue of cypresses, consisting of approximately 370 sqm of surface; Farmhouse formerly a hut (restored roughly) of about 174 sqm. of surface; Antique oven (to be rebuilt) for about 100 sqm. of surface.
Distances: 20 km from Siena. The closest airports are Florence (about 65 Km), Pisa (about 130 km) and Rome.
