General Description:
The total land area of 1,800 hectares consists of grazing land (Brachiaria brizantha, B. humedícola, B. radicans, Andropogon gayanus and Cynodon plectostachyus) and a 400-hectare nature reserve (Reserva Legal). Furthermore, there are several lakes in the area as well as roads and facilities (barns, etc.)
90% of the area are completely flat, on an average altitude of 600 to 800 m above sea level. The annual rainfall (Indice pluviométrico) is between 800 and 1,200 mm.
Predominant are latossol soils, red-yellow podzolic soils, and soils as well aluviale soils.
There are numerous water courses (adjacent to the Rio Grande), a 2-hectare lake, and other artificial water storages and reservatories (up to 300 m³).
