Location: the plot of forest is located in the South side of Romania, in Arges County, between Pitesti and Curtea de Arges, in the pre-mountain area, in Malureni village.
Malureni village is situated in North-West side of Arges County, at 30 km from the city of Pitesti and covers an area of 108 sqkm.
Geographic coordinates: latitude 45 degrees 04 minutes North and longitude 24 degrees 26 minutes East.
To the North, boundary with the village Stroesti/Musatesti, to the East boundary with Pietrosani and Cosesti villages. Watershed between the tributaries of the Doamnei River separates the Malureni common by Valea Doamnei village. To the South, the village has as neighbors Budeasa and Micesti communities, limit of the village is at the top of the surrounding hills. The Southeast neighbors: Baiculesti and Merisani communities. On North-East side is the city Curtea de Arges. First document, which we have knowledge, about one of the villages of Malureni communities is issued in Targoviste on April 15, 1456 by "Io voivode Vladislav Voivode of all Wallachia country, son of Dan, the great Voivode."
Forest of oak and beech, in total area of 60 hectares (600.000sqm), consisting of two compact groups, one of 35.04 hectares and 24.96 hectares of the other.
The forest has an age of 70-80 years, is exploited (there is also an act of enhancement), has access ways (operation/ground roads) and is guarded by Forestry which it belongs. Sources of water and electricity in the area. In legal terms: implementation inheritance in possession, cadaster, tabulation. Sold in full.
