Nyhavn is next to Kongens Nytorv - a large square with a major bus communication hub, where also begins the main pedestrian shopping street.

The bus frequency is very good, and the bus stop is just in front of the house.
You may take your bicycle to the waterbus (as numerous Holmen inhabitants do), and if you want to cycle to the "mainland" you just pass a bridge next to the house and you are only 1 km from the center of Christianshavn, and 2 km from the center of the town.
There is a beautiful sandy Baltic sea beach at the Amager island -just about 3-4 km from the house.
Over the last few years Holmen became one of the most trendy areas in Copenhagen.
The area has gone through an extensive renovation and represents today an exciting mix of new, small, high tech apartment buildings and very old historical houses. Holmen is an ideal area to inhabit - if you wish to live in historical surroundings close to the Copenhagen water line, with an unpretentious atmosphere.
